2009/2010
at Wiener Hofburgkapelle, VIENNA
Dear audience, chamber music fans and friends of the Hugo Wolf Quartett,
During the recording of our latest CD with music of Schubert in the Wiener Hofburgkapelle this January, liking this place very much, we quickly decided to place our own concert series in this unique church with its theatre like ambiente. It’s europes oldest musical institution first named in 1296 and the home of the Wiener Sängerknaben, claiming Fux, Schubert, Bruckner and many others it's members. Between early Haydn quartets, first masterpieces in this genre and milestones of the classical repertoire especially dear to us we present Austrian, or world first performances of music written for us.
Enjoy!
All concerts take place at 7.30 p.m. at Wiener Hofburgkapelle, Schweizerhof, 1010 Vienna.
